The Wandering Construction is an in situ sculpture / architecture. It appears temporarily in a landscape then disappears without leaving tracks. Barely installed, I photograph it, I leave it in place for a while, depending on my will and possibilities, then I take it away to install it elsewhere. From the beginning, its form has evolved into a great simplification. It is made up of seven identical cubes stacked, forming a door that opens, frames and dialogues with landscapes. The materials which constitute it change: natural (found in situ) or manufactured.
Ice, wood, metal, stones, paper, inflatable plastic... the Wandering Construction has been traveling around the world for 30 years. From emblematic landscapes to anonymous places, this small architecture always in motion does not require any authorization to set up, as a competition to heavy and stable foundations of all other constructions.
